What an amazing week it has been! I am so thankful to all my family and friends who have been supportive of Curry Kay Designs not only during the past 2 months but this week. I thought I was going to be twiddling my thumbs all week waiting for orders but instead I was busy sewing to fulfill orders (not if only I can keep those orders keep coming in!).
I wasn’t the only one with a busy and inspiring week. Here’s some of the goodies from the blogs I read every day!
Charming Paper Garlands from Paper n Stitch featuring Etsy Seller Kristina Marie: These are so beautiful. You have to check out the post and her shop to see the full line of garlands…. is it too early to start buying decorations for my Christmas tree?
Cold, Sweet & Easy Summer Dessert: Sorbet Fizz Float from The Kitchn: How delicious does this look? I had the same brainchild this week. The night of my shop launch A. and I enjoyed some delicious champagne (leftover from our wedding!) but didn’t finish the bottle. The following night I was looking for a way to finish it up and poured it over the failed peach ice cream from last week. DELICIOUS! This is a summer must try!
Miyuki Sakai from Good Measure Blog: I love these thread paintings. I’m amazed at the depth and the control of all the stitching. Check out this blog and the artist for more of this gorgeous work.
DIY Crepe Paper Bouquet from Creature Comforts: That’s right, this is crepe paper. I love love love this!
woodland from a room somewhere: If you’ve ever seen my wedding invite (and well, probably most of you haven’t) you know my affinity with fabric invites. I love love love these! Check out the post to see the photo up close. Now I need an event to make these for….
Some Serious Workspace Wednesday Inspiration from paper n stitch: I saw an image of this shelving a few weeks ago and was so elated to find that paper n stitch linked to the tutorial on The Brick House. A. and I have made the official decision to forego the built-in bookcases in our study (next remodel project) and use these instead. Now just to determine if we go all white or the black/wood look…
A Day in the Country: My Modern Country Loo by Poppytalk: As always, I starred about a dozen Poppytalk posts this week as my favorites. I picked only one so that this didn’t become a Look-How-Amazing-Poppytalk-Is post! I couldn’t resist this though. You have to check out the post because all the other photos are equally as wonderful. I didn’t know that bathroom lust was possible… but it most definitely is!
Plum Pretty Sugar from smidgebox: I saw this post and my jaw dropped. How gorgeous is this kimono from Plum Pretty Sugar on Etsy? It’s been put on my short list of summer must-haves!
